I'm slightly suspicious of Lucifer and his antics. He's been plotting something lately, I can tell.
Usually, when he meows to go outside and I don't let him out, he becomes a giant pain in the ass and scratches at the carpet and won't shut up until I finally get fed up with his whining and let him out. He has a bad habit of doing this about 2 minutes after he comes inside to eat. I have been trying to train him to know that if he comes inside, he can't go back out right away (I just personally don't have the energy to be his personal door opener).
Two days ago, after about 10 minutes of him whining, he finally gave up and jumped up on the couch with me instead. This is miraculous for several reasons:
- 10 minutes is NOTHING - he can go for hours
- He NEVER snuggles unless (1) he's on drugs, or (2) I'm asleep and won't notice
- He was purring
So when I laid down to read in bed last night and called out not expecting a response, "Luuuucifer... Come here, baby," I was surprised again when he came out of hiding in my closet and jumped up on the bed with me. Usually he only comes when he wants food or attention, so it was sort of weird for him to just sit next to me, not really wanting to be touched.
The ultimate creepy thing was when I woke up in the middle of the night: He was perched on the window sill next to my bed looking at me. When I rolled over and looked at him, he just blinked at kept staring at me...

It is creepy when you wake up and they are staring at you!
