LOLvacation

Yesterday, Matt and I booked our reservations for our 3 year anniversary trip to the Outer Banks. Last year, we visited Asheville for our 2 year anniversary and stayed in the Beaufort House Inn. It was gorgeous, romantic, and expensive! This year, we decided to take a trip to the Outer Banks because apparently I've never been there (even though I've lived in NC for 24 years) and Matt has only been once (when he was really little). We really wanted to stay in the Garret Bedchamber at the White Doe Inn in Manteo on Roanoke Island. It was the tiger that really sealed the deal. Unfortuantely the room wasn't available. Instead we'll be staying in the Jasmine room at the Inn on Pamlico Sound in Buxton on Hatteras Island. Perhaps we'll take a nice little trip on horseback down the beach...

Anyway, we must have been super-bored while booking the reservation because at the end of the form in the "Special Requirements" field, we decided to put this:

We were just about peeing ourselves laughing so hard. But we didn't submit it. Chances are the innkeepers are not LOLcats fans.

Also, we were looking at nearby restaurants on Google Maps and came across this one:

We might just have to visit this place. And I might just have to get the t-shirt that says "I got my crabs from Dirty Dick's!"

Anyway, don't be expecting to hear from either of us between November 6-9!
