This should be a happy day

But, I just spent more money than I really wanted to on a laptop that I do actually need. I've been thinking about this purchase for a while now, but for some reason this still feels like an impulse buy! I am trying to tell myself that I got the best deal I could, and it really does seem that way, but every time I think about the end price, I want to throw up. Somehow, I spent almost 70% as much as the cost of the laptop on other crap!!!! I had to get Microsoft Office 2007 and upgrade the RAM to 2 GB. Office was expensive (but what do you expect for Microsoft?) and the RAM was a pretty good deal (in my opinion). It would be stupid not to get a service and protection plan right? So there goes another $300 for the 3-year coverage. But they say there is a no-lemon policy, so if you take your laptop in 5 times, you get a free replacement. That's nice!
All in all, I think I made out pretty well. So why do I still feel like crap?

Yes, you will find out what I bought. The Geek Squad is still holding onto it though and I get to pick it up tonight (or tomorrow morning depending on tonight's Happy Hour. I feel like getting smashed! -but that costs money too). I'll post pictures ASAP.

keep telling yourself how productive AT ALL HOURS you now can be. Why you can even write your memmoirs while sipping at Starbucks!

A good investment... but how much yarn does that translate into?? just curious.

I have a pretty nice desktop but I would still kill for an awesome laptop. You're gonna need it for school and all. It really is a good investment considering how much more mobile you'll be able to be :)
