Now that I've finished the socks (which I forgot to take pictures of before giving them to my mom), I need another second project to keep me going. The afghan (first project) is going along at a nice pace. I think I'm about halfway there. I just started the 4th ball. Look how much Azurel looks like the yarn! She loves it.
Last week at the big sale at Yarns Etc, I found these gorgeous novelty yarns on sale. The green/blue is Fiocco Oro by Gedifra and the blue/pink is Idol by Berroco. Now I'm looking for the perfect pattern for a cute purse or clutch. I envision wooden handles. And a small handheld purse design. We'll see.
And because I needed to so badly... And finally succumbed to the peer pressure at work (not really) to knit a sweater... I found a different kind of sweater pattern on Knitty.com called Tubey. I'm going to knit it in this amazing yarn that's an alpaca/silk/merino blend (Knit Pick's Andean Silk). This may be the softest sweater I've ever owned.
Here are the colors I chose:

those choices are sure to make an amazing sweater!
It was fun meeting you at the yarn store. I hope I didn't talk your ear off!
Perhaps in a couple of years I'll see you again for my next son's visit to area colleges.
ooh, you were right, that is a CUTE sweater.
I like the idea of a clutch, but I think a Gryffindor scarf would be nice too :D
CUTE sweater! Looks like Alisa. :)
