This is my last week before starting graduate school! For the past 2 days, I have occupied myself by reading the last Harry Potter book. I finally finished last night before bed! Now I have a day and a half left to clean the apartment before work on Friday. Then, this weekend we're headed up to Conover for Daniel's birthday party! It'll be great - a last weekend of debauchery before classes start! Monday is an all-day orientation and I'm really looking forward to meeting people. Although the class is really large (about 100 people), so I have a feeling it will be a little different than many graduate cohorts.
Today, I got my first assignment by email! I have to read a chapter of "Everything is Miscellaneous", an online book/blog - for my Organization of Info class. So far, it's interesting. And it is actually making me excited to start school again.
And it's a good excuse for me to sit down at my computer instead of busting my ass in front of the television to Denise Austin's "Shrink Your Female Fat Zones!" That workout is HARD! I actually had to stop. I thought taking a short break would be enough, but then when I started it back up again, it just kept getting harder and harder. Whew. I think I made it through about 15 minutes. It's a shame because it's only something like 20 minutes long. Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow.
P.S. Although I love it here at Highland Hills, I'm pissed at the office/maintenance right now because our toilet's flusher has been broken since Sunday night (so you have to reach in the tank and pull up the flap to flush each time) AND since Monday, the toilet has been running non-stop (so you have to turn on the water each time you want to flush and turn it back off again after you flush - so as not to waste too much water because we have to pay for it here)! I called Monday and yesterday and they still haven't come. I don't want to be a bother, but SERIOUSLY this is our only toilet. It should be one of those priority-type maintenance things.

Well, yay for debauchery this weekend! I'll be there too!
I kind of wish I could go back to school too, but I wouldn't know what to go for.
I had the same toilet issues in AppSouth in Boone. I finally ended up fixing it myself.
