I have A LOT going on this week!
We just got a HUGE shipment of books at the library and so I'm busily trying to get over 30 books cataloged this week. And that doesn't even count the obligatory incorrectly cataloged books I find any time I go to the stacks to see if the book already exists. I'm serious. Every time I go back there, I find another book that needs fixing!
All that's on my mind is the craft show. T minus 4-ish days and counting! Here is a list of what I have:
- 4 bath gift baskets (including knit washcloth, homemade bath salts in various smells, 3 glass votive candles)
- Felted colorwork laptop bag
- Sparkly purse

- Stuffed cat
- 2 catnip toys (one mouse and one fish)
- 4 various scarves (Diagonal, ruffled, fishnet, and pebble ribbed)
- Mobius scarf
- Notebook
- Pocket calendar
- Coin purse
And here is what I still have left to do:
- Triangle scarf <-- in progress
- More cat toys
- More coin purses
I'M SO NERVOUS! I hope I can sell something.
Also, to add to the stress, after today I only have 1 week left of classes. That means, 2 classes of Cataloging, Reference, and Info Tools and 1 class of Organization of Information. Holy hell! As much as Info Tools sucks, I'm not ready for that class to be over! I am struggling with Microsoft Access 2007. And I love Reference so much, I'll really miss that class. Cataloging will be continued next semester, so I can't say I'll miss it! Org of Info has just now gotten interesting, so that's a little disappointing, but I think we're having lots of snacks and candy next week to celebrate the end of the semester.
I have TONS of work for my final projects in each of those classes though. All due December 10th. I have to create complete catalog records for 6 books for Cataloging, including authority records. I know that's probably gibberish to most of you, but believe me, that's a lot of work! I have completed MOST of the records, I just need to double check the formatting, assign access points, subject headings, call numbers, and look up authority records. I have to create a pathfinder for my Reference class. That's really fun. I'm doing mine on knitting. Check it out! It's almost done! But I have to write a paper to go along with it too. Add that to my to-do list. I still have a huge Access assignment for Info Tools for our database unit. That's not even a final project. And we have some kind of online final exam for that class too. I have to write a huge paper for Org of Info about Etsy.com. Blah. That'll be the most procrastinated final project of them all!
The good news is that this Friday is the SILS Holiday Party! The professors are all going to put on some crazy play that Laura and fellow first years have written. There is going to be lots of yummy food and the new student organization officers are going to be announced! And Matt is coming with me! Yay!
Oh yeah! And more good news is that I'm going to look at that scooter tomorrow. And I might buy it tomorrow too! Double yay!
